One of my favorite stores in the Bay Area is Tinsel Trading Company. This one of a kind store has a huge collection of vintage ephemera and notions. Of all the unique items, I was always drawn to the vintage sequins sourced from the late 19th century. So many extraordinary things were made in that time. These stunning pink sequins were my very first purchase. It took a long time for me to figure out a plan for them but I’m happy with the result. This is a piece that MUST be seen in person. If you touch or shake this one, the sequins dance and shimmer across the silver paper in the most delightful way.
